Camden County College (CCC), one
of the largest community colleges in
New Jersey, uses Web sites, e-mail,
e-newsletters, and social media such
as Facebook, Twitter, and You Tube to
engage alumni and keep them involved
in the college community.
“We send an e-mail to about 7,000
alums every two weeks to give alumni
updates on activities and what’s happen-
ing at the college, including discounts,
affinity programs, and other privileges
they are entitled to as alums,” says Me-
lissa Daly, development associate with
CCC’s college foundation office. “And we
invite alums to follow us on Facebook
or Twitter for frequent updates.” CCC
and has about 150 followers on Twitter.
